Warp and Weft / Brand Identity

Christopher McKinnon, the principal of Warp and Weft, hired Design Holmen to help design a new brand focusing on consulting and coaching. Trained as a psychotherapist, and drawing on two decades of work in the creative, cultural, and public sectors, Chris knows that nothing matters more than the process. For real progress to take place, you need to allow yourself to go on a journey.

This simple idea led to the creation of a new brand identity that is defined by a morphing from one state to another. The concept plays with the idea of transitions to reinforce that for progress to take place, there needs to be a shift from one state to another. The wordmark and accompanying graphics all speak to this idea.
